Well, Lindsey Vonn won Gold in Women's Downhill, Shaun White (The Flying Tomato) dominated the halfpipe winning gold easily, Canada won it's first Gold on homesoil (both men's and women's), The US won three golds in one day tying its record for most golds in a day in the winter olympics, The US won it's first medal in the nordic events (Cross Country, Biathalon, Ski Jump, Combined) ever. It was a silver in Nordic Combined. The Chinese couple (Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo) won pairs skating with an incrdibly romantic back story and a miracle finish. And curling is running day and night.

    Typical Olympics ;)

    USA v. Canada.

Men's Ice Hockey. That's all that really matters on Sunday.

That's an interesting question, David. It's been a while at least since the '70s with respect to Basketball. The Olympics are about the best of humanity and in the current world no one has a day job and is an Olympian by night. So it comes down to the fact that the best in world (or a particular country) will also be professionals.

Actually, outside of a few moneymakers (Hockey, Basketball, baseball) and superstars (Michael Phelps, Lindsey Vonn, Shaun White, The girl Gymnasts and Figure skaters) alot of Olympic athletes have day jobs. Home depot based a whole ad campaign around this fact.
